I recently posted a series of white-label releases. I call them "white-labels" because they are released to the public domain, and thus are available for use in pretty much anything you want. Also, this white label series uses samples that have arguably fallen into public domain, such as the infamous Funky Drummer breakbeat from the James Brown tune of the same name. Although samples such as Funky Drummer are taken from copyrighted works, the fact that a sample like this has been used in hundreds (if not thousands) of publicly-released compositions seems to indicate that it has fallen into the public domain. Its use is ubiquitous in hiphop, drum'n'bass and breakbeat styles (along with the Amen breakbeat and others). For that reason, these tracks should be seen as a celebration of white label culture, and of the spirit of the white label. Here's the series, from the Revolution Void homepage:

Hiphop White Label 1 - Back in the day

Hiphop White Label 2 - Cut-Up Piano Beatz MP3 3.6 MB

Hiphop White Label 3 - Wes Coast MP3 4.6 MB

Hiphop White Label 4 - Shufflectro MP3 4 MB

Hiphop White Label 5 - New York City MP3 4.2 MB

Hiphop White Label 6 - Epic Strings MP3 4.4 MB

Hiphop White Label 7 - The Day Before New Year's MP3 8 MB

Hiphop White Label 8 - Desperate Measures Theme (alternate mix) MP3 5 MB
