Of course I was expecting some problems, seeing as the site is still in alpha.  Basically what happened was I posted two songs using the publisher program and they dissapeared.

I have now successfully posted about five songs using just the webpage, but I haven't tried the publisher again.  (I need to, though.  Posting stuff with a webpage is a huge pain.)

Also, for some reason I haven't been using my shiny new artist name on my submissions, instead using just plain old vanilla "greg sabo".  But no one's going to know "savant trigger" if I don't introduce him...

I'm a very sad and broken person right now.  For the past year I have faithfully updated my website, called GBOX (which ran Drupal, by the way) with my latest electronic tracks, and have enjoyed its pure simplicity.  But very recently my host has kindly informed me that they were shutting down their webhosting service and thus I was screwed.  I had thirty days to frantically find a new place for my music before GBOX shut down.

I found a nice guide and looked at a lot of nice places.  The first place I decided on was www.soundclick.com , which offers plain and simple hosting of all my tracks for life.  After most of my stuff was posted there, I happened to come across www.garageband.com , which is useful because it has one of those "required feedback" systems, where once your song gets posted, it will get comments and ratings.  The problem is, that means that you yourself have to review thirty songs for each song that you upload.  That means that all fifty or so of my tracks would take almost a year of constant work (and 1500 reviews!) to be posted.  So I'm just posting a few of my favorites there just to get some feedback.

Then I remembered OurMedia.  True, Soundclick offers all I need, but OurMedia has a great open-source vibe (which, if you ask any of my friends, I love) and a little better community.  Plus it's new and shiny.

So now I am slowly putting my tracks up here with great care, hoping that at least someone hears them.  Hopefully I will want to stay here awhile...
