I was born in Martinsville, Indiana in 1943. My father, Frank J. Watson served in WWII in the Philipines and then went to Korea for a while. I was the first of my family born in a hospital, and my first home was up a holler near Mahalesville, IN where my Uncle, Leonard Watson, farmed with mules. Since then I learned to read, spent some time in the US Air Force, worked about forty years here and there and still, and helped raise 2 kids, 7 step kids, an adopted daughter and various grandkids which are still "in progress". I play harmonica, guitar, tenor banjo in GDAE mostly, write songs, tell stories, and do a LOT of email. I post an email newsletter "LocalFolk" from the Indianapolis area, have a Doc Possom blog on Yahoo 360, and spend a lot of time on neighborhood politricks. I work nights, from 10 PM to 6 AM, and enjoy the hours. I have a good friend, JB, that I've been playing music with. I operate the instruments, and he operates the 8 Track Roland Board. I write words and he does drum tracks and effects. It's kind of like two people driving one car. It's a challenge, and I think it sounds a lot better than it sounds like it would sound... I also like humor as opposed to comedy and am learning to eat organic and healthy foods. At age 62 I need all the help I can get. I've been having fun checking out some really nice work on Ourmedia, and also starting to learn about a few technical things. One in particular that's not that complicated but which seems very important to me is the Ourmedia way of "tagging" published media with keywords. Folks, this is a wonderful way to let people know what you are about. Ourmedia is really quite a site, and from what I'm reading of the tech guys, we ain't seen nothin' yet...I can hardly wait! I'm enjoying a community to relate to that's world wide. Best of all I'm gaining an open door on the world to post news from my neighborhood and city, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, that the local media often misses...for whatever reasons...
