In a resent article on tim O'Reilly's site, O'Reilly Radar Mr. O'Reilly put out a Call for a Blogger's Code of Conduct.
This Seems to be a reaction to the cyberbullying of one of Mr. O'Reilly's long time friends, Kathy Sierra. Mrs Sirra was and brutally photoshopped in a resent post on her blog showing her as Dr. Phil . It must also be noted that there were other post as well. They were disturbing enough to cause her to cancel a speaking engagement.
We have learned that Mr. O'Reilly has now taken his plans for Law and order on the Internet to a new level. He has now established a new site bloggingcode.org Mr. O'Reilly has also established a wikia The Blogger's Code of Conduct Blogging Wikia where the users may join in and edit the wikia. Mr. O'Reilly has also created a new sheriff's badge that sites can display if they want to link to that code of conduct. Maybe ourmedia should get one to display?
In concluding all we can say is beware cyber bullies , no more photoshopping from the hip on the internet , there is a new sheriff in town.....
