Porn or not porn ?

What is the limit between art and porn ? Erotic is Ok at ourmedia. But what is erotic?

The video I post yeasterday is considered porn. Why? Because you can see a naked girl? If I gave the information: "Mature content" and "for people over 18", and I'm not related to a huge company, I made this video by myself, all the procces envolvig this video, so I think it could be considered as art.

It's not different of any other work here at ourmedia, despite the fact that there's a naked girl on the video...

I'll take the video out tonight, and cut all the genitals pieces for the next videos.

I think ourmedia is a powerfull tool, and we don't have to be limited by censorship.

I'll be back soon....

This issue is being addressed

I have addressed this issue with the moderators group here at Our Media and am awaiting response from other mods. It is my opinion that we are censoring too much and that a group of qualified members should be consulted prior to any files being deleted from the site. I realize that this can be a fine line (art-porn copyright infringement?) This is why I believe that only qualified mods should be deleting files. I will follow up on this blog thread as I get response from the other moderators.

What's the file in question?

I went to the mod group and read the posts there. Things are being discussed there, but there is one small problem. Nobody seems to be aware of the file in question.

xplastic,

What file are we talking about? Is it Lilica at the fun house? That cetainly isn't porn. Who said it was? I don't see any post calling it that. Did you have something you posted removed or called into question by a site moderator or administrator or did you recieve a private message from another user?

If it was another user I would sugest you check out their page and see what they are all about and take it from where it comes. The clip I mentioned above doesn't bother me at all but you have to realise that some people are much easier to offend. Please make it a little more clear what file we are talking about.

If something was removed send me a private message with the node that it was originally published to and I'll check it out and pass it along to the other mods here and get their take on it.

The issue is resolved

After much discussion the moderators have had a chance to review this video and have restored it for viewing. Although OM rightfully will not allow posting of pornographic material it was deterimined that this is not pornographic although the adult warning is certainly appropriate. Thanks to all of the other moderators who took part in this debate. Though we must follow the law, we must not create our own. All the best as free speech lives on...
