Description: In this next lecture, I return to the chronological discussion of the Coalition Wars and discuss the War of the Seventh Coalition. This lecture deals with Napoléon?s return from exile . . . his escaping Elba and his return to power in the so-called Hundred Days. I will draw particularly attention to one of the most famous battles in all of modern history: Waterloo. I will also discuss Napoléon?s second abdication and his exile to St. Helena as well as the attempts by the victorious powers at the Congress of Vienna to reconstruct Europe. I will conclude the discussion with some closing thoughts on the significance of Napoléon.
