Revolution Void was formed in 1998 by Jonah Dempcy, at the age of 14. Revolution Void's recordings include Increase the Dosage (2004) with Santana drummer Michael Shrieve, bassist Matthew Garrison and saxophonist Seamus Blake, and Thread Soul (2006) with bassist Lucas Pickford and saxophonist Cochemea Gastelum. Since being released under a Creative Commons license, Revolution Void's music has been downloaded over 100,000 times around the web and through filesharing networks. The aim of Revolution Void is to create electronic jazz music that is both listenable and danceable, drawing influences from DJ Shadow, DJ Cam and Medeski Martin & Wood.
