Isn’t there another Ourmedia?

With a name like Ourmedia, it’s not surprising that there have been efforts with a similar mission. OURMedia/NUESTROSMedios at ourmedianet.org is a global network of activists, academics and practitioners working toward stronger alternative, community and citizens' media. We have no relationship to this older and wiser group, though we support their efforts.

Are you simply a destination Web site?

No. The aim of Ourmedia is to spread digital culture. We don't care where you host your media, we'll let you show it off on our site.

Is it possible that my work may appear in a collection on the Internet Archive’s site as well as on the Ourmedia site?

Yes, and that’s the mission of the Internet Archive: to archive and preserve everything on the open Web.
