 <title>Pigeonholed</title>
 <link>http://ourmedia.org/node/175678</link>
<description>Pigeonholed was an accident. I had been watching a film about Norman McLaren, showing some of the techniques he used to create his work while he was at the National Film Board of Canada. I had a bunch of really nice scans of microscopic slides that I wanted to turn into Mulch, and one of McLaren techniques struck me as the perfect way.He had been taking rolls of film, and scratching lines into the emulsion, so that when the film was played, the lines moved gradually across the screen. I figured that if I took the scans and stretched them vertically, it would have a similar effect.</description>
