How to register
We invite you to join Ourmedia. Once you've registered, you can upload media, personalize the site, create channels, post entries and comments, and see all the media files you've uploaded.
Uploading media
If you plan on uploading media, the easiest thing to do is to first register at the Internet Archive.
Ourmedia is a community site that relies on our partners to host media files. To upload files, you'll need to be registered at one of our partner sites:
• The Internet Archive: The Archive requires only a screen name, e-mail address and password. Once you register, enter your Internet Archive e-mail address and password into the log-in fields on Ourmedia. The first time you do this, after a few seconds you'll wind up on your new Ourmedia My Page.
Next, click the edit tab to enter your account settings and any personal and professional info you wish. You'll probably want to change your user name from the Archive log-in (your e-mail address) to the user name you'd like to use when logging in from now on. (Your user name will also appear at the top of your My Page and on all of your postings.) That's it.
• Blip.tv: You may also upload your files to Blip.tv using the SpinXpress publishing tool.
Email addresses must match
If you plan to upload files to the Internet Archive, then your email address at the Archive and at Ourmedia needs to be the same. Your password on the Archive and Ourmedia may be different, but it must be stored in your account settings. Your user name on Ourmedia can differ from the Archive's screen name, which applies only to the Archive.
Register on Ourmedia.org only
iI you just want to just post comments or create channels on Ourmedia, you may bypass the Archive registration process by registering directly on our site.
Enter a user name, password and some brief personal info. You'll then receive an e-mail confirmation with your password. Click on the My Dashboard link atop each page to access all the controls on our site.
