Ourmedia moderators

Ourmedia relies on a team of volunteer moderators to help manage the site.

We need additional moderators from all time zones around the world, so if you have time to check in and monitor activity on the site from time to time, please contact us.

Duties

Moderators are administrators with responsibility for overseeing the site's operation. They are responsible for:

• responding to members' questions and comments

• answering members and users who contact us through postings and e-mail

• making sure that members abide by the Community guidelines and comments policy

• removing any content that violates the Site rules (such as porn or violations of copyright law).

Moderators are authorized to suspend or ban violators, if need be. Please be courteous when communicating with them.

Requirements

There are no requirements besides being able to have time to complete the tasks for the group you selected.

A high speed connection and RSS reader is preferred for monitoring video feeds, but even dial-up will work.

If you work well with others and would like to be apart of a great team, Ourmedia is for you.

Assistance from members

Because our members upload content to Ourmedia without a curator as an intermediary, we rely on not only our volunteers to police violations (just as Wikipedia does). We also depend on all of our readers to report abuses.
